PORNOGRAPHY’S TRAP

PORNOGRAPHY’S TRAP

God said “let there be light” and He called it day and night,
Put flora and fauna in the firmament, just right;
Then created man, said to “dress and keep the land”
And gave dominion over all that he had planned!

He called the garden Eden where everything was NICE,
BUT gave a SPECIAL RULE, about the TREE of LIFE;
Said “man shouldn’t be alone, needs a helpmate of his own”:
S0 from Adam’s rib, made Woman for his Wife.

Blessed the act of procreation, when he made them man and wife,
But faithfulness, between them, was required of them for life!
The serpent’s plot was laid, OF THE TREE they disobeyed,
Causing them to be ejected from the blessings they expected;

Man’s sinful nature has some flaws we might not see,
If men harbor hidden lust, faithfulness may just “go bust”;
And the biggest perpetrator’s in your home, it’s your TV!
Satan’s plan (if you allow) is to tell you that somehow,
It’s OK for you to watch pornography.

To prove just what I mean, read 2nd Peter 2:14, (It’s plain to me!)
Mathew 5-28 should make you really start to hate your fantasy!
Reading James 1:13, makes the meaning much more clean;
Look it up, the consequence is there to see!

But when you honestly repent, God forgives the RULE you “bent”
With JESUS at your side, you’ll STAY SET FREE!
The decision rests with you, for you know now what to do;
STAY AWAY FROM SATAN’S TRAP;
PORNOGRAPHY!

This prose-poem is written mostly for Christian (and other) men who have (seemingly innocently) fallen into the destructive TRAP of watching, or even contributing to, pornography. Satan loves to exploit any undisciplined sensual emotions in men and boys. Let’s beat him at this game GOD’S WAY! (SMc)

2 Peter 2:14 having eyes full of adultery and that cannot cease from sin, enticing unstable souls. They have a heart trained in covetous practices, and are accursed children.

Matthew 5:28 But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

James 1:13 Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”; for God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does He Himself tempt anyone.
