YOUR OCF COOKING TEAM WINS THE FIN DIVISION AT THE AADE FUR, FIN, FEATHER FOOD FESTIVAL
The cooking team of Mike Chaffin, Jim Cook, Jay Sims, Pat Hudson, Doug Smith and Lee Canalito cooked up a great dish of Swampland Chili for the Soul. Jay secured the alligator meat and Mike brought the recipe and everyone chipped in to make an Alligatgor Chili that had people asking for more and the judges giving the OCF First Place in the Fin Divsion. Hundreds of people visited our booth and picked up Bibles, tracts and devotional books. Thanks to all you who came by and visited. Congratulations cooking team!

Also, we have volunteers who have offered to mentor anyone wishing to take a closer walk with Christ, need some one to help them grow their faith or just need a friend to help walk in God's grace while living in this fallen world. THE OCF PRAYER INITIATIVE TAKES OFF
The OCF leadership team gives God thanks for all 442 of you Executive Prayer Ministry Warriors. The Executive Prayer Ministry kicked off phase one at the OCF OTC Prayer Breakfast and now phase one is complete. All the envelopes of three names have been picked up. Phase Two begins now!
The goal of the Executive Prayer Ministry is to pray for leaders of all the companies in the oil and gas industry. The OCF started this ministry by selecting 1326 men and women who are a CEO, President or owner of a company. Three names were placed on a laminated card and stuffed into 442 envelopes. These envelopes are all out in the hands of prayer warriors across North America. Now phase two began when 1326 Bibles were delivered to the PMI mailing center. Each one of the executives being prayed for will receive a letter telling them they are being prayed for, (but not by whom) and an Oil Patch Bible. These packages will soon be on their way to the men and women who lead our industry.
Prayer Warriors – thank you for agreeing to pray for your three people at least once per week for a year. Intercessory prayer knows no bounds. The Bible says in James 5:16 (NKJV) "Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.” When you pray for others you open doors of healing, blessing and the potential for salvation to take place. Again the Bible states in 1 Timothy 2: 1-6 (NKJV) "I exhort therefore, first of all, that supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks be made for all men, 2for kings and for all who are in authority, that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty. 3For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Savior, 4who will have all men to be saved and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, 6who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time,”
You may never meet the people you are praying for or know the effect it had on them. But know this, your prayers are effective, they are reaching the ear of God and he is not slack in his promises to give His children what they ask, as long as we ask it in His will without doubting the outcome. Be encouraged and keep up the good work. God has called you into a most important endeavor. God bless.
