Oilfield Workers Sharing Christ Around the World

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We have the Bibles in English, Spanish, and Chinese. We are working on Portuguese and Russian and are waiting for the right time to publish these versions of the Oil Patch Bible. Want to help us do this? Contact Mike Chaffin.

There are several ways to help.

First, we need your prayers for the leadership of this ministry. We need you to pray to open doors. We need you to pray for hands and feet to distribute the Bibles, books, and tracts.

Second, we need you to volunteer to help distribute Bibles to those you work with here in the United States or those you visit overseas.

Third, we need you to donate so we can make these Bibles and Books economically available to those who distribute large volumes of Bibles who cannot pay for all they need.

Fourth, we need people who want to join the Bible Supply committee by being a point man or woman for the Bible ministry in the various chapters we have around the U.S. and Canada.

If there is no chapter near you but there is an oilfield you want to reach, we need your help. You can be an Oil Patch Bible distribution committee leader for your community. Contact Mike Chaffin to let him know how you want to be involved.

In the fall of 2003, John Bird was moved by God to print a custom-made Bible designed for the Oilfields of the World. In January of 2005, the Oil Patch Bible, Fuel for the Soul became a reality. It is a custom-made testimony NIV Bible that has been successful in reaching people for Christ. Today we have the Oil Patch Bible in English, Spanish, Chinese, and Portuguese, and have distributed over 175,000 copies of this Bible all over the world.

Contact Mike Chaffin to find out more about the ministry or to order Bibles and the devotional book. You can also place your order here on our secure website. You can also contact John Bird.

The simple answer is yes, John Bird and Mike Chaffin frequently speak to churches and organizations about the OCF and about Christ. There are other men and women in our member chapters who can also speak to local congregations if travel or timing is a problem.

The OCF Bible Ministry has been around since the end of 2000. For the first 4 years, the Ministry focused on sending Bibles in any language with men or women who were traveling overseas for their jobs or on a mission trip. The ministry was quite successful in distributing International language Bibles and tracts all over the world. In fact, by August 2014, we have distributed Bibles in 30 different languages to 60 different countries that we know about. This ministry is still going strong. Want to be a part of it or know more? The OCF Bible App contains testimonies in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Mandarin Chinese in audio and print that are part of the Oil Patch Bible. The App also contains links to OCF social media and website. The App also houses an audio Bible that has over 1200 languages available to read or listen.
