CAN YOU IMAGINE?

Post Series: STAN AND CREIG'S POETRY CORNER

by Ray Baird, July 15, 2011

Can you imagine?
Where you never get sick?
Where you never get tired?
Where there’s no clock to tick?

Imagine a place,
Where there is no death,
Where you feel the blessing,
Of God’s Holy Breath!

Where there is no misery,
There are no fears.
There is no sadness,
There are no tears.

Where there are no wars,
Where there is no pain,
Where you dwell in the light,
Of God’s Holy flame.

Where you live forever,
And never get old,
And it’s never hot
and it’s NEVER COLD!

IMAGINE a place
With streets of GOLD,
Where nothing’s borrowed
And NOTHINGS OWED!

THIS PLACE is so awesome,
WE can’t comprehend,
Where we’re always happy,
And we’re everyone’s friend

Mere WORDS can’t explain
This place of pure BLISS
An ETERNAL dwelling
You DON’T want to miss!

This PLACE I imagine,
Is HEAVEN my friends,
Where happiness dwells,
And time never ends!

It’s where BELIEVERS are going,
When we ALL leave this earth,
To a GLORIOUS home,
And a BRAND NEW birth.

LIVE RIGHT beloved,
REPENT of your sins,
BELIEVE IN LORD JESUS
HIS NAME ALWAYS WINS!

  1. 1. CAN YOU IMAGINE? Intro by Stan McNutt, St. Maries, Idaho.

Ray Baird ( a friend of Creig and I) has written many poems which have always contained a profound truth from the Gospel and which have offered comfort for the soul. Most of his poems received one corporate church reading. The editor of these comments asked for his handwritten copy when read to the church and copied it to computer. Most all actually could have been used in combination with personal soul winning, but there was no teaching emphasis at the time.

“Can You Imagine?” should pique the curiosity of an unbeliever to know more. It is when the unbeliever reads the poem himself that the Holy Spirit has the most likely opportunity confirm the word in some demonstrable way. It may be tears, a thank you or a “if that is true, I want to be there someday!

We recommend you always ask permission to share the poem along with your own brief testimony and give him/her a copy. Love! In the Lord’s Service! STAN and CREIG
