February 2021, the OCF was honored to donate a Braille Oil Patch Bible to the Lighthouse of Houston. This organization is dedicated to helping those who are sight impaired and blind. Through the work of a braille translator the OCF had the Oil Patch Bible testimonies put into Braille. We then paired it with a Braille Bible. Unable to find a home for it among the oilfield we donated it to the Lighthouse of Houston.
Established in 1939, The Lighthouse of Houston is a private, nonprofit education and service center dedicated to assisting blind and visually impaired people to live independently. They offer a wide variety
of educational programs, community services and outpatient rehabilitation for the blind and visually impaired. https://www.houstonlighthouse.org/about/
The OCF has additional copies of the Oil Patch Testimonies in Braille. If you know someone who would like a copy of the testimonies or are in need of a Braille Bible please contact us and we will help get them to you.
The Braille Bible takes up several shelves in a bookcase. Each book of the Bible has its own binder or set of binders, depending on the size.
Thanks go out to Dan Ward for coordinating the delivery of the Braille Oil Patch Bible to The Lighthouse of Houston.
